Similar to the Original Ben’s, but with a wider leg.

I’ve been a carpenter most of my life, I know how hard it is to find comfortable work pants. I recently bought a pair of Bens Gorilla Cut Pants, I absolutely love them! These pants are tough and extremely comfortable! The wide legs allow me to maintain a maximum range of motion without feeling restricted like normal jeans do. I like them so much, I’ve decided to make Ben Davis Gorilla Cut Pants not only my choice for working attire, but also for casual everyday wear. They are that comfortable! Thanks Ben!

Are the gorilla cuts just another term for boot cut ?

I only wear Ben Davis pants, They have the perfect cut for me. I’m just sad that they reduced the color choice and even more sad that they stopped making the Indigo Denim with the gorilla cut, which was my favorite.

ted – March 24, 2015:
I purchased 2 of the guerilla cut pants in black on another site. I don’t do work that requires these. I just liked the style I saw in a Kid Rock video. They’re very comfortable and great for dancing at clubs. They look great and they catch an eye because they’re different than what one normally sees. Downside is that they are thicker and a bit hot after a while, but that’s the price of good style and looking good. I have no suggestions… They’re awesome.
Big pin – April 8, 2015:
Need bigger sizes please
Donald Douglas Skinner – April 19, 2015:
Way awesome. I owned two pair. They wear really well and are comfortable. Mine only wore out due to my wife needing black pants for her job. Thanks honey. Best full length pants ever!

Consider it? Many thanks – these pants are simply the best!
Sorry but there are no plans to bring them back at the moment.

Ben Davis clothing is the natural evolution of Jacob Davis’s patented original Levi’s. It is clear that quality, durability, comfort, and style was passed down from grandfather Jacob. The only form of advertising is word of mouth and stickers. Look into the West Coast Rap scene and you find Ben Davis everywhere, the best known being the zip-up short sleeve worn by the pioneers of Gangsta Rap. Dr Dre, Ice Cube, and Easy E were all wearing the black zip-ups ,ironically in videos where they were dissing each other. I wanted to go OG for my first pair, so I chose Gorilla cut khakis with suspender buttons. Unfortunately there was a mistake in shipping and I received a pair without the suspected buttons and I learned to Ben Davis is one of the few companies that are true to size, so customer service emailed me a FedEx return label. The customer service is excellent, no automated recording that eventually if you jump through tons of hoops you talk to a outsourced customer service representative that usually know little to nothing about the product that you are buying. At Ben Davis, every time I called to check on my exchange, they knew the details immediately and it reminded me of the old mom and pop stores where they know who you are and what you are calling about. The pants are so tough, I bet a bullet would ricochet off them. Instant street cred and proof that you can look gangster without showing your underwear. Also goes perfect with suspenders, Stacy Adams biscuits, a wife beater, and a flannel. OG never goes out of style
OG history lesson. In 1969, a two teenagers from the East side of LA decided to start what is now the most infamous street gang calling there set the Crips. Even before they came up with the name, they had established a dress code. It included starched and pressed Levi’s khakis with suspenders, the predessor and DNA of Ben Davis Gorilla cut khakis, a wife beater tank top, Stacy Adams biscuit shoes, a gold earring in the left ear, leather jackets and Cuban brim hats. This was years before the blue bandana and everything else being blue. It was in the era of fist fights, also years before guns got involved. It cannot be denied how this group of teenagers and the other gangs that allied to fight them, would first turn Southern California into a war zone, then be exported to form imitators across the entire country and later copycats all over the world, fighting and killing over the color of your shirt respect drawword you use when referencing the people that you hang out with. My point in writing this essay is to show how Ben Davis and Jacob Davis’s designs were how an entire subculture’s way of dressing to draw respect and show your street credibility
Not that bad
